IT Asset Management Competency Workbooks

The Institute has developed multiple online courses in the competencies detailed in the Guide to the Technology Asset Management Body of Knowledge (TAMBOK). Participants have the option of taking their own notes or downloading these workbooks as note taking guidelines. The workbooks also serve as study guides for the credential exams in software & copyright compliance assurance (SCCA), software asset management (SAM), information technology asset management (ITAM / TAM), and IT portfolio management (ITPM).

Technology Asset Management Credentialing Road Maps

The practitioner members of The Institute have consistently commented that a majority of certifications and training programs in the IT asset management fields are frequently ad hoc and/or proprietary in nature. Traditionally, course participants have not received certification support materials other than a minimized course notebook when they actually attend a one to three day training session. The Institute provides each credential candidate with their own road map to their chosen credential. The road map includes a review of their existing certificate qualifications charted against the requirements as documented in the Credential Requirements Handbook. SCCA, SAM, & TAM / ITAM Test Preparation Handbooks

Prior to The Institute, IT asset management-related certifications consisted of attending a short course and taking an abbreviated memorization test before leaving the site. This narrow scope of competency quiz has been replaced by the need for a comprehensive documentation of credential credibility. The Institute provides study guides for each of its credential programs so practitioners and credential candidates know precisely what to expect. Guides include content covering Software & Copyright Compliance Assurance (SCCA), Software Asset Management (SAM), and Information Technology Asset Management (TAM / ITAM)
